I have been so very fortunate to have had many opportunities to explore the things I love to do.
And the things I love to do usually possess a special intrigue to me because of their often intangible or inaccessible states. Or perhaps because I approach these things questioning and wondering where I can take them. In my business, creative and personal life, I find myself enjoying the challenge of striving for "the impossible".
One of the definitions of "Impossible" in the dictionary is "not easily obtained". It's a good description because it starts you thinking in terms of process. It is a process of discovery, a road, a series of steps that you commit to making in order to advance the approach to your goal. If it was easily obtained, there would be no process and there would be no work. There would be no self-discovery, and self-discovery is ultimately what makes it all so exciting and worthwhile.
Another Greek, much older and wiser than I once said:
If you can allow yourself to believe in what Homer is saying, you can feel comfortable that the path towards the impossible is "the thing". When and if you get there suddenly becomes less crucial, and with that release of stress and pressure there comes better work, and guess what? You're closer again to realizing your goal.
Along the way there are opportunities for making freinds, stretching your brain, researching new ideas, discovering insights about yourself, and ultimately, the powerful realization of your own potential and the consequences of that: the advancement of your own personal, spiritual growth and the exposition of your abilities. Again, the result is self-discovery.
But it doesn't mean it can't still be fun.
And that's why I wrote this book. To share some ideas towards having fun on this crazy journey from the world that you know, full of comfort and already (probably other peoples) accomplishments into the ever changing, everforming world that you do not know. The world that is manifested by your own actions. The world that you have had a hand in shaping and creating. You stop being an observer and you begin becoming the reason that things change.
If you are interested in creating things, doing things, becoming an agent of change, then I hope you have fun with this book.
