Theo's Restaurant tied with oil-guru Syncrude Canada for the
Award for Best Arts/Entrepreneur Partnership.
During the twentieth anniversary celebration awards dinner on October 19, 1998 at the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto, the Financial Post and The Council for Business and the Arts in Canada honored a number of high profile businesses for their extraordinary commitment and support of the arts Business support of the arts has doubled over the past 20 years and this is reflected at Theo's Restaurant in Penticton where they have been co-sponsoring an art auction to benefit the Art Gallery of the South Okanagan for the past 21 years. The art auction has assisted the AGSO since 1977 when it raised $1,651 and last year the total hit $24,000. The focus of the art auction is to promote local artists and to raise needed funds for the successful operation of the Gallery. Okanagan Wine Festival
The Okanagan Wine Festival happens twice a year (Fall and Spring) and promotes the local economy by recognizing the local wineries and winemakers. A full day event is offered to tourists and locals alike where they can sample the varieties of Okanagan-made wines and is then complemented by many of the local restaurants who serve Okanagan wine - including Theo's Restaurant.

Beach Blanket Film Festival
The Beach Blanket Film Festival is an annual event which promotes local, BC and Canadian-made films. The event happens on the beach of Okanagan Lake and patrons enjoy the wide selection of films while lazing on the beach and watching the films being projected on a water-submerged, full-theater screen under the moon and stars.
The festival introduces amateur, professional and newly acclaimed producers, directors and actors. A number of renowed guests have attended the festival including: Producer/Director Mort Ranson and Produce/Director Sandy Wilson.

Dinner at 10,000 feet:
Benefactor: Okanagan Similkameen Child Development Centre
Description: An annual event which promotes the OSCDC by selling tickets to win dinner for two at 10,000 feet. The winners are helicoptered to a selected location to enjoy a fabulous Greek dinner served personally by Nikos Theodosakis - Theo's Restaurant.
Outcome: The event has raised record amounts that have continuously aided the operation of the child development centre.
After Theater Events:
Benefactor: Cleland Community Theater
Description: After a number of theater events Theo's Restaurant invites the participants of the productions to enjoy a delicious dinner and a place to discuss the productions results, goals and future endeavors.
Outcome: Theo's Restaurant has always made a connection between the great theater productions and its relaxed family style setting.
Shirley Valentine - Theater Production
Benefactor: Okanagan Chapter of the Canadian Federation of University Women
Description: Theo's Restaurant assisted in the costs of the production of the summer production of Shirley Valentine.
Outcome: As a result of the restaurants involvement the CFUW - Okanagan Chapter was able to raise additional money for bursaries and scholarships for women wanting to further their education.
